I had a Whiteline rear 22mm adj ARB fitted to my MY05 STi today by a Subaru dealer on the back of the 2yr service. Although it's early days, I'm happy with the cornering improvement. However, having inspected the job, I notice that the ARB is located over to one side??? Not sure if the ARB is supposed to able to move laterally due to the ball joint links or if I'm looking at poor fitment. Thoughts anyone?

went to AWD Motorsport today and whilst on the ramp we observed how easily the bar could move laterally - which explains why mine had moved about 1" to the offside. the solution was to fit the Whiteline KLC32 links to replace the OE ball joint links. all looks squared-up now - cheers Grant. ARB is initially set to the softest setting. need to drive more before I can comment on impact of changes

I haven't had the geometry checked/adjusted yet but was intending getting it done shortly at a Subaru dealer who can provide a report for me to cross-check against against the Prodrive settings. The last time I had it done was when I had the Prodrive springs fitted at a Subaru dealer - but as they were unable/unwilling to provide a report I've never been fully confident that I'm actually running with the recommended settings. Further, I find the tramlining of the RE070 incredible although less than before the springs were fitted. Could be that my geometry settings are contributing to this. Anyway, I'm going for PS2's next in a 235 width - until I can afford a set of 18" rims

I liked the re070 which came on the Sti but mine were allready 235.I own a 05 jdm sti .I now have that size in toyo t1r good grip but i check the tyre pressure's more must be down to the softer tyre wall.

i went from the re070s to goodyear f1s on my my05 sti and the tramlining vanished and i got wet weather grip! but you do notice a big difference in the stiffness of the sidewalls, the ride and turn in are noticeable but yopu soon adjust and as im on b roads most of the time its a more usable setup. though i too have the prodrive springs and have been planning some whiteline kit to stiffen things back up in body roll. which dealer did you use taysti? and how did you find perth subaru,i havent tried them yet but like you im not sure the settings on my car are prodrive,i had issues when the springs were fitted.

nothing is lacking but you do get an occasional light feeling from the rear when easing off throttle or braking lightly on a corner and the back end does seam to struggle to keep up with the front end when taking a series of left and right turns, i.e on a twisty lane.

ive fitted my whitline antiroll bar today and im amazed to say its not made the slightest bit of diffrence to the handling of car, and yes its on the stiffest setting, just feels exactly the same as before.
maybe a good upgrade for the earlyer cars but not worth it on the later type.

Made a massive difference on my WRX, but had it fitted as part of Powerstation's stage 2 kit. Car felt less prone to understeer, more directionally stable, and better able to put power down coming out of bends. Impossible to tell tho how much of a contribution the ARB made, and how much was due to other parts of the kit (Eibach springs, whilteline ALK, and probably most important, 4 wheel alignment)
