Default drop links?

Hi,

I've searched and not really found my answer..

I need to replace the drop link bushes on a v5 type R, but I dont want to spend much and dont want to increase the road noise.

Should I replace the drop links while I'm there as it's not going to cost much more?

If so is there much difference in, say, the Whiteline steel and alloy ones apart frm weight, cost and looks? are the alloy ones stiffer?

Cheers!!

No real difference between the Alloy and steel ones. Think almost everyone here run the steel ones.

Haven't noticed any difference in road noise with my droplinks (coupled with 22mm ARB) - I've got rear subframe locking bolts as well which actually warn of increased road noise and haven't noticed any increase with them either.

Hate to say it - but if your going to change the drop links, you may as well change your ARB while youre there, seeing as it will be off anyhow.. *ahem*

hmm you might be right, i'm just a bit tight you see, thats the problem..

i have heard that the main reason for using a stiffer arb is to reduce understeer. Mine (5 type r) doesn't understeer at all, always oversteers.. so do you think its still worth it?

thanks

Yes. If your car seems to oversteer all the time change the dccd position.(unless you like oversteer!)
