P1 suspension is a good start IF you can find a decent low mileage set.
Brakes depend on how much you want to spend mate.

Budget ??

budget depends on the girlfriend

If the budget can stretch:

22mm rear arb
sti front
alk
drop links f+r
uprated bushes
P1/sti susp./maybe uprated springs
Adjustable top mounts
Ferrodo ds2500 pads for rear brakes
Sti front brakes with same pads and uprated discs. (better than newage brembos..imo)

After that would be:

Full poly bush kit
24mm rear arb
22mm front arb
Noltec top mounts
lower+upper braces
Coil-overs. (Ast, KW, HKS, Tein etc)
Stoptech's/AP's

Just worth noting, there's not much point spending money where its not needed, even if the budget allows it........
