Exclamation Rear End Sinking 'feeling' - possible cause???

Recently upgraded from standard WRX suspension to Prodrive (used) on bugeye 01 model. Since then OffSideRear hasnt been behaving good. Let me try to explain whats happening:

Initially on low speeds a rattling or clunking noise could be heard from the backend. Now the noise has disappeard but now if I move the car forward on half clutch (so really slow) you can feel this drop from the driver side rear end after moving every foot or so. And this pattern will be repeated if I reversed!! This is as if something is working up to a high point and then dropping ever so slightly. The handling of the car has gone bad as well. Also at speeds of 60-70 u feel this vibration throughout the car.

Initial thoughts from the earlier noise were that it could be the shocker. Then rear link bushes and now we think its the Drive Shaft. Or worse the DIFF!!

Anyone ever experienced similar problems or how to get to the bottom of the problem?
Many thanks in advance.

Bushes can cause vibration, if teh wheels are slightly out of balance.

The play in the bushes allows more movement to ocurr, so at certain speeds a minor wheel imbalance can be amplified by bushes not absorbing the vibration.

Question An Update...

Ok heres what we have tried so far...

1. Rear tie bar to hub bush Rear & Front
2. OSR driveshaft
3. Diff oil - just in case if its something to do with that but oil was clean, no
metal bits.

And at the end of all that - No change what so ever

Getting upto 30mph and keeping it there, the vibration comes in.
And the rear knocking noise seems to get more itense and louder with more weight in the back. Noise is only noticeable on slow speeds but vibration on high speeds.

Any input will be much appreciated guys

Default Sorted!!

Ok... we have the culprit!!

On Friday, we switched the rear suspension back to standard and went for a test drive and PEACE AT LAST Noise gone, Vibration Gone. So it appears its a knackered shock-absorber .

So at the mo, im running the following suspension setup:
FRONT: Prodrive (struts & springs)
REAR: Standard WRX

Your opinions plz. Is the above setup OK as a temporary measure or can this cause problems with the handling? If OK, can I leave the setup as permanent solution?
