Angry knocking rear sti shocker.......

hey all, all the shockers on my 03 sti type uk were replaced before i bought it due to a knocking rear passenger shocker, now the new one has started doing it, same again, rear passenger.
spoke to subaru and they said the shocker is still ok and will work fine but it is just annoying.
how much truth is there in this?

thanks, shawn

know how you feel mate i have same problem on my 03 sti, apparently it wont cause a driving issue in the early stages but it drives me nuts!! they were only replaced 10,000 miles ago which is the annoying part! are you sure it is the shock and not the topmount as these can apparently knock aswell,

remove the OE shocks and fit AST, no noise now.

Sounds like the struts gone; it's a well-known problem much discussed on here. Take you car in to your dealer and they should replace the strut under warranty.
