hi guys. need help with my scooby classic 2000, i got set of 17" kato rims. how much should i lower it by as i only want it to sit on the tyre. at the moment its jus totaly standard about 3 to 4 finger gap.

Mines lower around the 40mm to 50mm. One bit of advice, watch out for the width of your tyres. I had to go down to 205/40/17 as I was having rubbing problems on the back arches under hard acceleration or with the kids in the back seat

Very good on the road actually, maybe a bit low if u do a lot of back road driving but i like them!! And yes they do fit on standard shocks as my mate has them on his 1997 UK turbo!!
As said above u will need either a 205/45/17 or a 215/40/17 tyre to avoid scrubbing the arches. I had a lend of a set of 17inch wheels while mines were in getting re-furb'd. They had 215/45/17 tyres and the back passenger wheel rubbed a little when driving hard!!
