Default Type of oil in dampers?

Hi guys,

I am in the process of converting a standard set of suspension legs for a Nissan S12 trackday car into coilovers. I have got stuck & need help with identitying the type of oil that I need to put in the leg? what viscosity to use? I am sure this is crucial to the performance of the damper.
I have researched as much as possible and found out that you can buy damper oil for motorbikes which is 5wt oil. Is this ok to use?

Any help is greatly apreciated.

Many thanks,
Hans.
