The only downside you will find with the above is wanting even more from the chassis which is easy.
The roll bar mod, be it a simple 22 rear on a stock classic to 22/24mm on a classic, and then to other mixes (as in Geo's car) will posativly raise the game.
Then it will be time to get serious, but the 'classic' Whiteline shopping list with a good alignment and tyres will utterly transform the car.
Why did Subaru not do this in the first place?
In the dry and racing hard, the 27mm front on soft, 24mm rear on rock hard was surprisingly good, but not so in the rain, where the 22/24 rear combo is fab.
Get the mods done and never look back.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
I put a rear ARB and links on mine it killed the understeer and allowed a numpty (me) to provoke some oversteer on demand
Then I got greedy and did the front with ALK so now it's spinal tap grip turned up to eleven, twelve with Toyo R888's on

P.S. can be a bit jiggly over ridges if on stiffest setting.... but easy ten minute job to move the bolts. And a one hour diy job in the drive to !
