Lower brace may be more effective, but even I added a top brace...
I don't think it made much difference to be honest....

Pop in some camber bolts, esp the rear.
Agree with Dunx about the front top brace.

IMHO the Whiteline steel rear drop links are fine. Had mine for 5 years now, zero probs.
A nice cherry on the cake would be the Whiteline DH rear bar mounts esp if the rear bar is 24mm.

Sorry, meant the abreviation to be HD, heavy Duty.
The stock rear bar mounts are flimsy thin steel, and Whiteline sell some very robust replacements which are well worth doing. I self modified mine 5 years back by welding in a simple steel gusset plate, but the Whitelines ones are really good.
Find Geo (cusco kid) on here, he is the Whiteline UK dealer.

Overkill for what?
On the road and nice holiday trips? OTT IMHO!

Some hard driving and maxing the car ? Just right for a circuit. And the occasional road/short holiday.

I ran 27 front and 24 rear in the dry on track and it was good. I would think that 27/27 would be a fidgit on the road.
Geo is the one to ask (cusco kid).

On ripple surfaced raods with patches etc the car will 'jiggle' a little as the wheels go up and down independantly over the uneven surface.
This happens on larger roll bars as if one front wheel hjits a raised manhole cover (say) as it goes up it tries to lift the other front wheel , and so as it comes down, the other side follows. This will make the car move slightly.
You will only notice it on 'rough' commutor roads. On motorways and nice A roads you will not notice it, and after a few weeks driving it will dissapear from your mind as you get used to it.

As ever. all these mods compromise something some where else.

Thread Hi-jack alert !

Hi 911 !
got myself a Cusco lower chassis brace from a friend this week, so you're really killing my wallet these days.... Looks a bit awkward to get this on with the (ugly) ALK spacers on my U-brace on mine (bug-eye).

Simple to fit on a Classic!
You have the wrong car!

Actually, on the first attempt it was a bit tricky to get it all lined-up with the ALK. It is designed with the stock mounts in mind, but I slackened the ALK bolts off, fit the brace (easy with everything slack) and tightened everything, but I was off the next day to Powerstation for a demon 'Curtis Alignment' day.
