Default Tein Super Street Just Purchased

Just bitten the bullet & forked out for a set of Tein Super Street, fed up with the knocking on my 04STi. Fitting them on Wednesday & in case anybody is interested I'll post up my review of them as soon as I've tested them out.

Just got home after having them fitted &.......Initial report is very good indeed. Firstly I have to say the car looks great, much more aggressive without being 'slammed ' so to speak & level all round, before, the front sat much higher than the rear, found out today by 30mm.
Anyway cosmetically great then, as for the way it drives, once again very positive, only driven on A Roads home & the typical bumpy/ pot holed residential roads & great ! It's maybe a tad firmer than what I had, but in a good way, feels more stable overall & seems to soak up poor surfaces nicely. I was worried the suspension was going to be very firm, but so far I've got no worries here, it's well within my comfort zone & there's no increase in rattles & stuff!!! Have to say aswell that I had the geometry done, set to 'Prodrive' spec whatever that means ( quicker tyre wear I dare say ) so as soon as I've been able to have a real test I'll do an update.
P.S You get loads of stickers

had mine fitted at zen a few weeks ago now had the full package edfc pillowball top mounts

i think they are excellent not too harsh but firm and road handling is superb and the ability to adjust at the drop of a hat is brilliant idea look very aggresive without being too low
10/10 for me

I've had these on mine with the EDFC (fantastic) and have been really impressed with them.

They lower the car to give it a purposeful but not too slammed look, really improve body control and handling and don't completely decimate the ride. The EDFC is simplicity itself and makes the adjustable feature useable as opposed to a pain in the ***!

Yes, Personally wouldn't go any lower than the suggested 25mm drop for a classic though, as much lower and you'll start to impair the handling of the car and run into more grief at speedbumps etc... Mine looks low, not slammed. Will take some more pics and put them up.

Sorry I haven't replied earlier, been away, I'll try & get some pics up as soon as I can. I'll Wait until it stops raining!!!!
As previously said though, it's more purposeful than slammed & I like it a lot. To answer the other question aout it being height adjustable, yes it is, but I'm leaving as is.

This is AWESOME news i have just bought some Tein super streets to fix the knocking on my 05sti and im glad you like them i cant wait to get them fitted.

I will be going to powerstation for the Geo setup. But what i would like to know does anyone suggest i get the anti lift kit and whiteline arbs at the same time? it would add a lot more ££ to the job that i cant really afford but i would like it as good as it can be, but im not so great on knowing what an ALK and ARB really does for me.

Would be good to see those photos!

Suggest you stick with the coilovers and a good geometery set up at first mate. Most likely, that'll be enough for you. Going the uprated roll bar route will make your ride even firmer and might be OTT for your needs. Just the coilovers result in a very significant improvement over standard!

I dont want it too stiff as i live on the isle of wight and the roads are ****!

Maybe i will just go for the Geo setup for now, thanks - or is the ALK worth it on its own? and what does that do lol

Still need to see this Tein pics though lol

Default Pictures As Promised

As you can see, car not too low & ride still compliant, even the wife hasn't complained.

Funny you should mention the stickers, it was those I was most impressed with . Stems from years of panini footy stickers, just these ones were a tad more expensive as they only came with the coilovers.
Sticking to this set up now, not only because I'm pleased with it, but financially I'm going to try & stop bleeding money for a while.

Hot pants do you know how many mm lower you are?

If you do go for a splitter try the HT Autos ones as they are flexible (hit mine a few times and it's fine) unlike the Scott Lowe ones which are made of fibreglass and split if you hit anything

keep clear of the Jun ones as well as they like to fall apart as soon as they see something comming towards them

broke mine twice now, fair enough fiberglass is easily sorted as long as its not too bad, im going either plastic or carbon fiber next

Nice one Mystic, glad your finding them great aswell, they aren't too hard are they, the only time I realise they are harder is when I go over speed bumps, everyday driving I'm definately prefering this new set up. Sorry I didn't get back to you about the height question, only just spotted that, bit late now, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure anyhows.
