Default fitted some newage suspension on a classic

just thought i would post this up here as couldnt find any info on here, fitted some newage 2003 wrx shockers front/rear to the girlfriends 97reg 2l sport using classic lowering springs ,used the newage front top mounts and the classic rears no fitment issues and its made a big difference to the handling and ride as hers were getting a little tied. just so anyone wondering it can be done

took a chance mate as i have just fitted some apex coilovers to mine, so cost me nothing to try just time. To cut a long story short mine where sti shocks but i guessed these would be a little hard for a classic so swapped my mate for his 03 wrx shockers with similar miles. gonna get an alignment check but worst case will have to buy some rear camber bolts but seems to handle great now. To be honest mate when u put the shockers side by side there is very minimal difference.

Newage onto classic, classic onto newage, impreza new newage (post 2004) STi into Forester with Forester springs (Mine) all can be done with a little bit of thought, the only bugbear is the late (05->) STi's having the different lower front mounting.

The shock body is longer on a newage. So if you fit newage shocks on a classic using existing classic springs itll sit higher

I've seen Newage stuff can be used on a Classic,

I know a few gravel rally cars running them as a cheapish way of getting beefier suspension and increased ride height for the GC8.

Probably give them a spin on mine
