Default ALK ON CLASSIC TYPE R

Anyone got any pro's and con's on the above? Thinking of fitting on a V5 which is running on Tein super street coilovers.

Yes. More caster, less caster loss and less anti geometry all results in more front end grip.

Not entirely correct there as stated by whiteline themselves.

A point not mentioned here is the ALK also lowers the subframe making ground clearance an issue in some case on already low cars. If you already have Tein Super Street with top mounts fitted I would suggest spending the money on a good alignment set up instead.

I was hoping for a bite

The kit actually lowers the rear mounting point to promote lift and dive.

To summarise the wholly OTT whiteline paper, if you imagine two mounts at 45deg and two mounts in a horizontal plane. If the suspension is 'hinging' up and down around these two mounts, it'll be easier for it to do it around the horizontal pivots rather than the angled ones, so your springs resist dive and lift instead of the actual suspension components/geometry. Whiteline kit levels off the two mounting points, encouraging the front to resist roll less (which is kinda what their stiffer rear ARB does too) maximising grip when you're approaching the front end grip limit.

Additionally, it gives you a bit more caster by the relocation - i.e. more dynamic camber.

So there aren't really any cons, it makes it nicer to drive (better self centering too) with more front end grip. A little bit more NVH maybe, but that just proves you're manly.

Car has been properly aligned, actually it feels perfect, just wondering if i should add any other bits? although, someone did say leave it as it is as might end up messing something up?
