Rebound Settings!!
Hey guys...
Im still a bit "inexperienced" when it comes to suspension tuning, and Im still confused when people talk about rebound... Now, Im not so stupid , I know what rebound is, its jus that i dont really know how it affects the handling...
Can someone shed some light at my lack-of-knowledge?

Most adjustable shocks (replacement or coil over) only affect the bump setting or both bump and rebound in proportion, some have a seperately adjustable rebound setting.
For thos who now how to set up a bike, its easy, for 4-wheelers its harder to explain so I'll give you the simple example.
Car understeers, so needs more weight at the front, if you soften the bump and stiffen the rebound on the front it will encourage the front suspension to stay low, increasing the effective weight at the front, increasing grip and therefore reducing understeer.
Now in reality its NOT as simple as that asthere are factors like roll centres and spring rates to account for.

So basically, the higher the rebound, the slower the wheel will push away from the wheel well... haha! I thought higher values would make the shocks decompress faster...
Thanks a lot, Simon !!
