AST coilovers. clunk n twang after adjusting dampers. normal??
I've just bought a 2003 JDM STI with AST coilovers fitted. Today i decided to have a fiddle with the top ***** to harden/soften the damping. i put them on the hardest setting (12 clicks) and all was fine until i reversed and put on full lock when there were a few clunks and twangs and the steering and movement of the car felt heavy. Is this just the springs settling themselves?
it stoppd after a few moments. i then re-adjusted and softened the settings thinking that they may not like being on full hard. All was ok until i reversed parked and used full lock again and the clunk/twang sounded again. All seems fine now.
Does anyone else hve this happen when adjusting damper settings on coilovers?
