Default Will classic coil springs fit new age legs?

I have been offered a set of lowered springs from a classic. Will these fit a newage suspension legs or are the leg diameters between old and new different?
Thanks in advance, Mike

Fronts will fit, rears will fit upto 04MY, but not after.

WHY oh WHY do people pots in here and not tell us what flaming car (model and year, I assume you have a WRX from your username, but that could be wrong!) they are asking questions about?

The question is why would you fit springs from a lighter classic, onto a heavier New-age model ?

IMHO

Perhaps, except that lowered springs for a classic will still usually be stiffer than the stock blancmange WRX newage springs!

Thats true, but as newage WRX springs (pre 2005 anyway) are a weady 163lbin (STi 224lbin, Prodrive blues 196lbin and P1 was 205lbin - fronts for comparison) I'd be surprised in the classic lowering springs were softer.
