Hi Guys

apologies for the delay just to let you know about these new springs for the 01/02 car.

As some of you may know we had the first 50 sets shipped here last week. (I think Dyney and Dave have recovered from moving them all now)..

The fronts were a perfect fit as one would expect but the rears had in internal diameter at the bottom which most unusually for an Eibach didn't provide an exact and snug fit in the spring seat.

Several frantic phonecalls followed from us to the various peeps at Eibach and to cut a very long story short we have asked Eibach to recall evry set and they are stopping production to rectify this problem. Apologies to everyone for the slight delay but I'm sure you appreciate that all parties concerned would much rather get this really important product to 110% quality.

It is still abit of a mystery how it all happened. The spring has been produced precisely to it's drawing which would point to that being the cause of the problem

Not a big deal really tho.. in the mean time we will obviously fit the existing kit which has done us so proud up until now!

just thought it polite to let y'all know!

Cheers

Paul

It must be said, the old "new" 01 springs I had fitted instead are fantastic!

Thumbs up

Trouser

Top marks for customer service. Good luck with the revised springs when they are in.

Out of interest, have you tried a car with the new front and the "old" or Prodrive rears? This wil sort out the dilema as to whether the new rate is too soft.

Duncan

PS. Not a TSL customer, but seriously impressed by their honesty!

To revive this old thread...

I have just fitted Eibachs on my wife's Renault Clio and am very impressed with the comfort - handling balance . Am now renewing the idea of having Eibachs fitted on my MY01 JDM STI RA also.

Paul, is it possible to let me know the PN of the Eibach springs for the new GDA/B Rex? Also, do you know if this problem of fit which you mentioned above has already been fixed?

Many tks.
