ohlin repair kit / refurb?
Ok so i got a set of ohlin shocks and springs on my wrx,
one of the rear ones has popped and has decided to throw its grease everywhere and now it bangs at the backk if hit a pot hole or come of a bump to hard.
My other shocks seem ok.
I have been trying to find somewhere that services these or can get hold of a repair kit.
everywhere i seem to find only deals with the motorcycle ohlin shocks.
any ideas where i can get a repair kit or get these serviced?
just to throw a spanner in the works on my spare wrx (yes i have 2 lol) it is sitting on standard shocks and springs.
would i be able to use the ohlin springs on the standard shocks and would there be any improvment over just using the standard springs, my thoughts would be that the ohlin springs are slighlty shorter so would keep my car level whereas if i just put the standard shocks and springs on the back will ride higher.
this is all theory by the way i dont know if the ohlin shock are physically shorter or if it is all in the spring, i do know my ohline are not adjustable they are a fixed height.
any suggstions or ideas ?
