Default Elvington.This Saturday

Anybody going to Elvington track/airfield,this Sat.?Some tasty motors booked.Hope to give a few of them a spanking in the Scoob.355, Porker,Evo 8,GTM,s etc ,oh and my mates Griffith.
First time for me on track in car,done a couple on bikes before.Anybody been to Elvington before ?any good?

Its a very good track - taken my sti7 there and wasted a set of tyres and also raced my old lotus 7 there.. nice ciccuit - you will have a good day.. just hope the weather is good for you. have a good one

As mentioned above, very heavy on tyres. I destroyed a set in 3.5 hours, of which 2 hours were wet. make sure you keep enough rubber to get home, as it will ruin your day if you're not prepared.

Guess I will drive like a ***** to preserve them then.Not!!!
Thanx for the advice ,I will keep an eye on them,although I have to confess I did get 26k out of a set on an RB5,just road use.So i am not the harshest driver.

My best mate Andy is there on Sat, If u want to take the p*ss call him the Groin.....he's 6' fairly slim, with short dark spikey hair......just tell him Rich says hello and he cant drive for toffee

Is he driving,if so what car will he be in?I will look out for him.

you'll have a great day. try to stay off the grass if possible, although it looks smooth it's deeply rutted and it ain't pleasant if you get out of shape on it.

it is very grippy though- even in the wet the level of adhesion is like a dry road!

Yeh I dont like grass exscersions much.Last time I did one of them was on a motorbike at Oulton Park.That was a bit rough as well,think my front wheel disapeared down a badger hole or something."ouch" was the cry. Leighton hospital did a first class job putting my left femur back together though.
Strictly tarmac/concrete for me from now now on !!!!

I'll hopefully come and spectate look out for a bloke with 3 and a 4yr old sons with him. Cars a DBM wagon...Have fun!!
