Jessica's Prom - 26 June 14.
As some of you know my niece, Claire, suddenly died in February, aged 38 and the mother of two girls and a loving husband, Gareth. My nephew is still struggling with the impact but is being as solid as possible for the girls.
The back story to Clare's death is even more tragic but that's not why I am posting.
Jessica's is the elder of the two girls and her School Prom is on the 26 June 14 in the Manor Hotel on the A40 near Crickhowell (Wales by the way). Sadly, Jessica and her friends have been let down with the limo hire, I am not in full receipt of the details, so won't comment. But I do know they wanted £52 each passenger. As you would expect she is very upset at the prospect of not getting there in style.
They are all frocked up with no way to get there. I have two plea's for help.
1. Does anyone know of a Limo Hire Company near Ebbw Vale who have a limo free on the 26 June.
2. Does anyone fancy doing a Scoob run with a couple of passengers from Ebbw Vale down to the Manor Hotel?
I am willing to do the run, even though it's the night of my 50th birthday (No comments from you *******!). Ideally people from the Heads Of The Valleys would be great for location.
It is a while away but I would need a solid commitment NOW if a Scoob run was to take place. I could get them all in one place for a pick up.
Anyone?

captain im happy to help out with mine if a new hatch will do. I used to do abit of work with the limo people but i think its owned by another bloke now ill pop in there tomoz and ask weather they can sort something.

I have been overwhelmed with offers and all I can do is thank you so very much. I have spoken to Jess this evening and in total there are 10 to transport to the venue in total.
There is no requirement for a return as parents are doing the return. When I mentioned the possibility of trips in fast cars there was much whooping and hollering. Again I thank you all and ask that you please, please, please, please keep the date in your diary.
I accept your kind offers of cars and will let Jess know, even if an Evo comes along.

I would love to help mate but my car doesnt have seat belts in the rear but could take one as a passenger.
I could use the kitcar but i think that may not go down well considering they would look like they've gone through the bush backwards when they arrive at the venue

Pleasure captain you have done more than most for everybody that askes its about time it was returned, and wheres the hardship driving fast cars is what we do so no probs there.

I want to put my name down captain! I'm at a seminar for two days the day after and not sure where the location is yet so may be away the Thurs evening.
If I can I will throw my hat in, if I'm needed then as a back up then will let you know as soon as location advised
Bare in mind its very tight in the back so would only be able to take one.

Glad to help out Ian, we're back from hols early hours of that day so barring any unforeseen problems with an airline strike which I can't see happening, I'll be there.

Only just seen this, been doing a Boiler replacment in The Circus in Bath all week (no short *** circus jokes please)!!Put me down aswell Captain if required, car will be out of hiberation by then, and ebbw vale is a stones throw away from me and obviously the Manor only 15 mins away. Im sure if required Mazi will probably get involved aswell :-)

Yes as my partner in crime has mentioned, I will happily lend my services/car for the trip. I have got the day off so it may even get washed before hand!! Not a problem, anything to help out. Thanks max

Gutted I sold the car now. We were going to do something like this up in North Wales a year or so ago, but the prom was cancelled. Looks like you've had a great response Ian.
