Looking for some help (again lol) removed my old head unit bought wiring loom all connected up etc and with my new head unit it is a flip down screen to load the CDs and my silver surround that has the ac button, rear demister, fan buttons etc does not go back on it's catching the surround edge of the head unit I now need a solution around this. I was thinking of taking the surround to a fabricator to remove around 2mm either side of the radio and to remove the lip behind the surround any other suggestions where I can go or any other ideas.

If it is catching on the surround that clips onto the head unit just remove the surround & it should all fit OK, I had a similar problem with a flip front head unit in my old 200sx.

If your car is an import you should be able to move the stereo in and out of the hole and adjust so that it does not hit surround
