Default Sti brakes

Just a quick question do all sti's have brembo's

Y i ask my brother bought a 2006 hawkeye wrx sti 44k on clock with full service histroy but it looks like they got same brakes as my wrx

Dean,

It should have BREMBO's if it's a UK car. They should be 330 mm discs and the wheel PCD 114 (The wheels won't fit your Blob WRX). Does it have DCCD and a six speed box? If not he's been done over.

It havent got brembo's on it Ian havent checked to see if its got six speed box either only i did notice when i just had a quick glance at it before returning to work it's got genuine set of prodrive 17"wheels on it i have a proper look at it when i finish at 4

Just looked at the add he bought it from it states its a 2.5 wrx PPP any tell tale signs if it is a PPP

Dean,
The PPP can be checked by phoning Prodrive with the registration, not sure if the local dealers in Bridgend (Nathaniel Cars) or Keith Price can help but may be worth a try. He may be lucky and have the certificate.

All the PPP items are easily removed, so the visual signs may not be present.
On a WRX you should find:
Prodrive blue intercooler hose
Prodrive ECU
Prodrive back box
PPP certificate
PPP silver foil sticker on B pillar, drivers side

It's not a sti or PPP after a few checks yesterday it's just a wrx 2.5 he never learn any way he contacted the seller n he offered him £1k back as he was unaware it was not a sti PPP my bro is so inpatient couldent wait for me to go with him but hes happy with it its a nice clean low milage car with full dealer histroy so with the refund he had hes bought a corbra sports cat n center Decat and prodrive rear box k&n panel filter n booked race dynamics for remap
