Hey mike hows it going? Ive seen you about loads mate. Ive got a yellow evo VII FQ300 now so next time you see me give a flash to let me know its you and if i catch you in time i will flash back. Nice car though. By the way you flew past me the other day heading towards brynmawr and your car looked white in the dark under the orange street lights. I bet these yellow cars are handy if being chased by the police in the night .

Regards
Scrappy

Hey sam,
Well ive posted on the mlr board a few times about it so take a trip over. The evo is very hardcore indeed. The ride isnt as bad as everyone makes out and there are a few things i miss on the evo that i had on the scooby. Its definalty a weekend car for me. It takes quite a bit of getting used to and i get more attention in the evo than the scooby, maybe because its bright yellow perhaps? Ive only done about 350 miles so i cant tell you what the performance is like but i have blipped the throttle a few times and it totally blew me away and i didnt even take it high on up the revs. Its feels like a chained up animal waiting to go at the moment so i will report more when i have run it in and serviced it at 1K miles. Actually i have driven the demo car and that thing absolutley flew to the point that my legs turned to jelly after the testdrive, (seriously) I went white and thats not like me at all. The corning on them is far better than the scoob but the only problem i can forsee is fuel and servicing costs, however if you are a sensible driver without a heavy right foot then the fuel cost is about the same as an impreza. Oh yeh and the doors clunck nicely unlike the impreza which i like.

I would definalty recommend one for the more hardcore amoung you all. They simply blow you away and make you giggle like a schoolgirl. Like tiff said,

'You wont relax in an evo unless you park it'

Regards
Scrappy
PS The insurance was less than the WRX too which was cool.

STI6...welcome to the gang. I'm often about in the Blackwood area (MY00 mica red saloon with ppp) so will keep my eyes peeled.

Scrappy...were you on the M4 between Junc 26/27 westbound about 9.15am. Yellow FQ300 in the outside lane stuck in a line of slow moving traffic (as usual at that time of day). I joined the motorway at 26 and came alongside, put the driver was on mobile (earpiece obviously!!!), and probably didn't spot me. Lovely looking motor, bright yellow really stood out amongst the gloom. Could tell the driver was itching to put his foot down and go, but lane 2 moved quicker and I put my foot down and lost the FQ in the traffic.
