As already posted in the Insurance Forum.

Rang Greenlight for an insurance quote today and got told that they no longer insure anyone in Wales, due to the high insurance claims coming from our area.

A?

Probably cos the staff at the call centre in Wigan/Milton Keynes/Sierra Leone/Kashmir can't spell half the addresses around here.....:-)

Unhappy

Either that or they're fed up dealing with claims from shunts on the M4 between 8and 9 am, 5 and 6 pm.

...no longer insure anyone in Wales, due to the high insurance claims coming from our area.

It's either going to get very expensive again or uninsurable lists, roll on the mid-late eighties insurance problems again. Time to stop the "No win - no fee" crap!

Still, it might kill off the Focus RS / Cosworths before they get started

lol at garethE's first post, this is very true.

Haven't tried greenlight but most insurance companies love my postcode, it probably coz i live in Mid-Wales though.

Definetly racist and discriminatory!

Cool

n_w_s... got a red mica MY00 saloon with PPP. Been keeping my eyes open but yet to spot any white scoobs in the area.

Know what you mean about the insurance - I'm paying £1200 with Privilege (been with them since they had the contract with IM, but now deal with them direct), thats with full noclaims, clean licence (at time of writing, but still fingers crossed, touch wood etc) and extra security (saying no more !!!), but then I have high mileage and high risk profession against me.

What about everyone else? Anyone getting a bargin?

SammyH,

The car is registered in the IOM! When it was registered in the UK I was paying 1200! for a STi (non PPP)

Smile

n_w_s...no probs.....ppp= prodrive performance pack.
Not sure about the other white scoob. As for spicing up your own chariot, suggest posting a request on the general technical forum to find out what others have done to their Sport.

Generally anything involving the exhaust system and/or air filtration will improve performance on Scoobys, but I.m no expert !!!!!!!

see you soon

Gareth

Have a look at this www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=66744
might give you a few ideas/starting points
