Heart would always say 22B; head would scream T25. There's a mini review of the new jap-spec STi in this month's evo. It gets 5 stars, iirc.
All things considered though, given the choice (and sufficient maintenance funds), I'd go for the 22B. Best looking Scoob ever and easily sorted to suit our roads, I believe. Six years on, the mere mention of it gets my heart racing. Not seen one for ages.
Bagsy a ride if you get one

I would love to get the 22B, i really would but i have been told some horror stories over the last 2 days about them and if something should go wrong with the engine.........
I can afford to buy the car but i sure as hell cant afford to shell out 5K on an engine rebuild should anything go wrong....
And thats why i have started to look at the new shape Scooby. Not only will i get 3yrs warranty but i also get a new car instaed of a 5/6yr old motor.
I didnt want to have 4 doors, i quite like just the 2 and the 22B has an image and presence that none of the new shapes have yet to capture.......
Well in off to Dublin tonight for a jolly good **** up until sunday. Been invited to hook up with the 555club while im out there(they took a shine to my pics).
look forward to reading your opinions on where my money should go....

Perf Cars, I think, had a Type C in their car of the year test in January's issue and they were mighty impressed - it won. I have an old mag in which all variants of the impreza are tested up to the P1 and they reckoned the RB5 was the best all round scooby. But if it was my money I'd take a chance and go for the 22B. But caveat emptor; I once owned a Honda CB1100RD, one of only 150 imported into the UK, a so-called race bike for the road (it kept winning the UK's streetbike series). It wasn't a totally uplifting experience however. As well as crashing it (but that's another story), parts kept on failing. It was low mileage and was never thrashed, by me, but Honda weren't prepared to admit it was fragile shall we say (and hence why I have not and never will buy another Honda product). So specialist vehicles, by their very nature, need lots of TLC.

After a recent trip to Powerstation and having a quick read through the shopping list left on the dash of a pre-type25 build you get a heck of a lot of car. The list and the figures next to it were shocking and we got to have a quick squint at No. 04 T25.
Also having seen it tear round Castle Combe it looks more than capable.
I'd buy the 22B tho.....
