right guys the new loom has been fitted < out of the same year wrx as the engine> and the car turns over but wont fire up
any ideas??????? the engine was left standing from july-october then i drove it 5 mins at low <under 5mph> speed then it was transplanted into my car and not been started since,,,,,,,
i have fitted a wrx loom after giving up on trying to combine the sport/wrx looms into one. so it shouldnt be a problem with wrong wires etc so any ideas????????

i had this problem on my lude. wasnt immobiliser.
1) Check the ignition Coil & ignition module(ignitor) on the distributor. Use a multimeter, if you are getting no reading across the points for each component then they may need replacing.
2) This was my problem. My car has had an engine conversion and was down to a loose connection. It was one of the wires that was spliced in the loom up to the back of the ignition barrell. I recommend that you check all the wiring running up to the barrell behind the steering coloumn.
This problem had me buggered for ages and found out that it was just simple as that. I had my distributor in pieces, rebuilt it, exchanged my ECU, went through all my loom, & turned out to be located behind the steering coloumn. Typical. I
I hope this is of some help Mr newport.
Good luck
Dino
