In this month's JTuner mag ....
I was a bit disapointed with the article in JTuner with the guy from Power Engineering going on about how the Evo has more potential for tuning than a Scoob especially as he creamed over my RB when they were taking my money off me !!
Well ... I've just aquired a dvd from Fast Car mag called 'High Octane' in which a classic WRX races an Evo V over a quater mile stretch and ..... you guessed it, the WRX came out on top !
Then there was a track battle in which all the Evo owner wanted to do was to beat the WRX owner who he referred to as 'the 22B wannabe' cos his scoob was blue ! and ... you guesed it the WRX beat thew Evo over 5 laps !
& the grand finale ... some of the fastest "road" cars in the world doing a speed test. These ranged from a classic STi 550bhp, EVO 550bhp, Supra 700bhp and a Skyline GTR clocking in at over 1000bhp !
These cars have been modded & tuned by some of the brainiest Jap car guys around and .... you guesed it the STi pi**ed over the EVO agiain at over 190mph ! The GTR wiped the floor with all of them mind !
I just hope the guy from PE reads this and wonders if his comments will annoy any loyal scoob customers & possibly scoob owners that WERE thinking of taking their pride & joy to be mapped there !
