Default Info for people who reset their ECU's

I've recently installed a PSi3 Data Monitor and decided to reset my ECU due to a couple of fault codes.

After resetting it the car ran like a dog for a few days, lumpy off boost and holding back on boost.

After about 3 days I took her out for a sprited drive and she goes like she did a few weeks back. I did some research on the www and found that the ECU's (newage's) re-learn the knock correction, ignition timing, air/fuel mix, etc. and hold back the power until it's found a balance between power and safety. This is achieved by lowering the Ignition Advance Multiplier (or AIM) and the power supression could be up to as much as 20-30bhp.

The moral of the story: If you have your ECU reset, expect a noticable lack of power for the first 100 miles or so. If you're impatient you can force the make it to maximise the AIM , forcing it's value to 16 by taking the car out for a drive and completing a certain power/rpm/mph routine, something the mapper will do when you have your car remapped.

My AM is always set to 1.00 as I can see on the PSI3, what is the significance of this?
My car is stock (2007 WRX) and runs well.
I wonder if it is displayed in another unit?

EDIT:> Found this that explains it:

CobbTuning.com - Dynamic Advance & Dynamic Advance Multiplier Explained

For the Drive-By-Wire (DBW) vehicles, the DAM has a range from 0 to 1.0 (measured in increments of ~.1) to determine what portion of Dynamic Advance will be run. A DAM of 0 usually means the vehicle is seeing continuous detonation, and a value of 1.00 would indicate the ECU is happy with the tune and is allowing a more aggressive total ignition advance curve.
