Question Decat Downpipe

After speking to you on Thursday, it became clear that i need a downpipe to allow full decat to occur.

Been looking for a 3-3.5" inch option, and a trawl through fleabay has brought the following up

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA...QQcmdZViewItem

Spoke to Longlife in Cardiff and they would sell me a 3 " for under £150 quid.

Any suggestions, experience, and advise on which one to get would be appreciated.

Ive not even managed to find 3.5" inch version, but do i even need one?

Any problems with getting through an MOT?

£150 from long life is really cheap, they quoted me a lot more than that, in the end i got a H&S one for about £220. You won't need 3.5" a 3" is plenty big enough, standard down pipe is only 2.5".
Try and get an open mouth one (like the one in the ebay link)
For MOT you will either have to put your standard downpipe back on, or take it to a friendly MOT station

www.scoobyworld.co.uk you could try scoobyworld
have bought all but one of my exhaust parts from them
they are very good and know what they are selling, always
helpful and friendly, or www.flat4online.co.uk but the choice
as they say is up to you.

I cant offer any advice on the ones on e-bay other than buy one that you Know will do the biz, if you stick to a well known brand you wont go far wrong and there are plenty for sale on here.
As you know your car needs a cat for mot time so a sports catted down pipe might be an option as well.

Just stick your centre catted pipe back on for MOT, only takes 10 minutes to switch over and 10 minutes to switch back. Only needs to be done once a year
