Default Insurance

Had quotes from loads of different companies today for the STI and most or nearly all of them were in cuckoo land but I phoned Gary Moulson up and an exceptional quote
Who do other people insure with? as if there is someone else I have not tried then I could give them a go

I spoke to Anne-Terese at A-Plan after gary moulson quoted me £890 FC for my Turbo 2000. A-Plan Quoted me £610 FC for a policy thats mod friendly. Just paid 50 quid for my new exhaust system and they reckon another 40 quid for me wheels and springs. not to bad i thought

Cheers

Nearly all insurers wont pay out for the value of the mods, only the basic book value of the car - unless you have an agreed value of the car sorted out with them, in which case they'll pay that, but not many insurers do this.

My insurance went down from £1260 to £490 this year with RAC !

when i got my wrx import last week i was called insurance company after insurance company, elephant were the best at 1400 (got some over £2000+) was just about to go for elephant when i try one more....

Tesco, i did not think these would be any good, but my quote for a import wrx was... £750, fitted with a cat1 and tracker, full comp.

i ask them to check again as its a group 20 car, they confirmed, and then Tesco sent me £50 for fuel to spent at Tesco!!!

so to cut a long story short i would give Tesco a call, they are giving free £50 fuel to all new customers and they take into account the alarms and stuff.

PS dont got with Bell, part of elephant, if you read Bells small print they will only pay a total of £500 no matter what your car is worth on all gray imports if you total them (not that i hope you ever would)

Well I think it depends what day their having as with A-Plan it was 650.00 and with Gary it is the axact same policy and excess for 400.00 so I was chuffed as I was paying 450.00 for the Classic which was 11 years old so what the hell are the insurance companies up to as I live in a no risk area as well. But now sorted and collecting car tomorrow
