Ready to buy god there is no stopping this rollercoaster ride at all

Right question one.... are you buying new or secondhand ?

If new why not consider contacting a specialist for a package suggestion and price ? since you will have to have a new ECU and map which will cost the most it makes some sence to get a build that matches.
You can still fit the front mount yourself (or we can ) to save some cash

What injectors are in the car now ?
Have you budgeted for and uprated fuel pump ?

Suggestion for you.... get the pipework for the front mount either painted or powder coated before fitting and also the body of the cooler this will keep it in top condition longer in our weather.

My answers based on performance, durability and value for money.

Ready to buy FMIC, so which one is best ? - Hybrid (£300 - £550)

Ready to buy ECU, so which one is best ? - Apexi - (£800 - £900 inc mapping)

Ready to buy Brakes but have already had some good advice on these, cheers.

Ready to buy de-cat and full exhaust system, so which one is best ? Hayward and Scott (£250 - £350)

And whats the best day for you lot to come (help me) fit the lot ?

Oh and can you think of anything else for me to throw money at ( bigger turbo maybe). - VF28 (£150 - £250 2nd hand)

I'm with Apexi power FC, really impressed with all i've read about them. Plus i'm going down the same road as u with modding. De-cat, front mount, uprated fuel pump and maybe injectors. The car is a 93 wrx JDM import so will prob have same set up as u. Then we can organise a group buy for an Andy Forrest mapping session
Check out www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk Loads of good info on there, he's regarded as the best mapper in the uk and frequently flies out to the US to map cars.

6 numbers cool

If new why not consider contacting a specialist for a package suggestion and price ? good thinking batman since you will have to have a new ECU and map which will cost the most it makes some sence to get a build that matches. (at least you can get one firm quote with no invisible extras this way)
You can still fit the front mount yourself (or we can ) to save some cash top man I'm just an extra pair of hands

What injectors are in the car now ?standard ,what ever that may be but want to upgrade they may be ok you don't want to over do it
Have you budgeted for and uprated fuel pump ?yes but again where to go? if you get a package they can supply (you don't want one faulty part to cause troble we have seen it many times on here)

Suggestion for you.... get the pipework for the front mount either painted or powder coated before fitting and also the body of the cooler this will keep it in top condition longer in our weather.Got any suggestions on where for this also (powder coating I'm not sure, but painting should be reletively easy... post in the tech section for advise I feel )

Looks like another one for the 300+ club

Do your homework well on this one and you will achieve great results consider ported headers and heat wrap as well .

I have read good things about the Hydra ecu developed by Richard bulmer ex wrc mapper and MOTEC man but cant give you any more info other than that , although i think this system does away with the dredded MAF but not 100% on this so check it out.

Ready to buy FMIC, so which one is best ?
On a buget i'd say Hybrid, otherwise something like a Pace
Ready to buy ECU, so which one is best ?
If cost is no object GEMS (got antilag and lauch control) but cost about £1600, personally i'd go with Apexi FC
Ready to buy Brakes but have already had some good advice on these, cheers.
AP 6 pots if money is no object, otherwise Brembo 4 pots
Ready to buy de-cat and full exhaust system, so which one is best ?

Any decent make HKS, Blitz, Hayward and Scott etc etc, i've got a 3" H&S downpipe and 3" HKS exhaust.

Got to agree with the Andy F suggestion top guy, might get my map tweaked again if you arrange a group buy for him to come to Cardiff again.

Doh ! ... I did mean to say that, sorry fella, must be all the paint fumes from decorating !

Going onto the exhaust system .... cant really say much about the ninja but I know a lot of folks have written some brilliant stuff about the Blitz NUR Spec. I have the full system with sports-cat on mine & it sounds absolutely sweet even with the bung in the back-box pipe !

Ready to buy FMIC, so which one is best ?

Anyone that does not involve the removal of the frint bumper bar, it is quite shocking how much the front of the car will flex without it and i would not like to be in accident with out it, you may end up with an engine on your lap

Ready to buy ECU, so which one is best ?

Don't know if Motec do a direct replacement for a 95, so i'd go for a Link or a Gems the link will be cheaper and do almost the same minus the anti lag which is pointless on a road car and will shorten the life of the turbo anyway.

Ready to buy Brakes but have already had some good advice on these, cheers.

AP's are great, Alcons are very good Brembo's are on a par. Porsche GT3 calipers and AP discs are the daddy

Ready to buy de-cat and full exhaust system, so which one is best ?

Much of a muchness, Scoobysport systems flow the best Miltek are also very good, but i'd stick a sports cat on rather than a decat as its less hassle for MOT time and roadside checks

And whats the best day for you lot to come (help me) fit the lot ?

I made my new number plates a month ago and not had time to fit them yet

Oh and can you think of anything else for me to throw money at ( bigger turbo maybe).

A nice hybrid will do the job avaliable from a variety of suppliers

Or does any body know of a 2.2 engine for sale.

Yes

My advice would be brakes first

I fitted a Blitz NUR Spec R to my new age WRX I also fitted a centre section and decat section.
I took the bung out of mine as I love the roar.

See this is what happens when I leave him alone for a few hours, he spending money again.

Got to say , don't mind spending £1500 on brakes ,I kinda think they are pretty useful. But me personally think if you are going down the road of bigger turbo etc you might as well refurb the whole engine upgraded to push out 300 + but that means no food in the cupboards...................

So who is inviting us over for tea?
