The Lakotta Nightclub (Bristol)
Just wondering if anyone here has been to the Lakotta nightclub in Bristol. Theres an up and coming event which i wouldnt mind attending but just wondered about the actual area in regards to trouble etc...

Its a turn down left (St Pauls entrance) at the bottom end of the Gloucester Rd. Been there a few times as I lived in Bristol for 2 years, never seen any trouble in there but have heard a few stories !

I used to go there all the time in my 'raving' days 
It used to be pretty rough and seedy but always a superb night. The doors used to be worked bouncers that were also big time drug dealers so it was pretty intimidating queueing to get in
It was also closed down once for health and safety reasons because the upper balcony was deemed unstable, however I think it's been sorted now.
A word of advice though, don't take your car (if you were thinking of driving
) because the chances are it'll be wheel-less or missing completely if you leave it anywhere in the vacinity of that area, (St Paul's).

yeh thats why i was asking cos i thought it was closed down at one point, however i thought somebody had got killed there.. theres been sum big names playing there thats for sure... cheers for the car parkin advice..

Been there a few times years ago, was a supurb club with a good atmosphere... we used to park outside of Bristol and get a taxi to the club. The queue used to get very long indeed especially if there was a big name there, met some good people there over the years..

No worries scrappy. I had some GREAT nights there, including Carl ***, Nicky Blackmarket, Roni Size, et al. Although I did remember spending most of my night there 'rushing' around. 
There's a massage parlour just around the corner too!!!
