Default what brake pads do you use

had the tyres done today and noticed pads will need changing soon
wifeys been left braking again
ok its that same old question what brake pads to buy
and why whats the benifits of them

cost and performance of pads

The 2 most reccommend pads on here are Ferrodo DS2500 and Pagid Blues. Most people including me will say stay away from anything by EBC.

Ferrodo DS2500 for me, great initial bite. Not much dust either

yes i'll second that juls groved discs all round with ds2500 nice stoppers easy cleaning as well

try ringing Alyn at AS performance..... he's generally competitive !!

I bought some in time for Rally day and they cost me £100.... i think..... there are 2 types..... and the others are around £150...

bet yours are the £150

got brembos on mine, but for some reason mine were the cheaper ones....... maybe more common (thats ME !!)

I have used Pagid's for a while now, but am going to try Carbotech ones next.

Alot of the Evo boys use these pads, and i've only heard good things about them.

I use EBC red stuffs, and havent had any problems with them, although I did get the EBC grooved and vented discs at the same time, so maybe they arent as good with other discs ?

They are very wooden when cold, but once warmed up give nice progressive braking ( I dont exactly hammer the car though, so cant comment on prolonged high speed use )
