Unhappy Need a MASSIVE favour urgently

Went out for a drive tonight, heading up Nelson mountain when in the lanes i hit a pothole so big that it instantly cracked two of my alloys into two pieces!

I've fitted my spare wheel, but the rear alloy is still cracked and i only just managed to crawl the car back down the mountain and have had to abandon it at Nelson Police Station.

Can i pleease borrow someones spare wheel to put on my car just so i can bring it home in Cardiff? You'd be doing me a massive favour and i'd really appreciate it!

I could come to your house and collect the wheel, and bring it back to you the same day (if you don't trust me i'll let you hang onto my drivers licence). The car is currently 11 miles from my house (Cardiff).

Please help out a fellow Scooby owner, i've had the worst day ever, and i hate the fact i can't see my car sitting on my drive right now, i just want it home

Thanks Mick, you're a life saver!

Here's one (half) of the alloy, the other looks identical but is still on the car at the moment...

I've puctured the odd tyre and cracked a rim but that takes some beating. I'm suprised you haven't damage anything else.

Hopefully you're back in Cardiff now and are arranging new wheels.

If I were you, I'd go back ASAP and get some pictures of that pot hole and then claim off the council or highways agency for two new wheels, 4 new tyres and an alignment.

The car is currently sitting on my drive propped up on an axel stand waiting for some new rims

Felt fine on the drive home, however it's due a service now anyway and i'll ge the garage to check thoroughly for any damage that might've been caused.

I'll definitely be claiming off the council, only trouble is by the time i've finished work it's dark, so i'll have to go back up there this weekend and hope the hole is still there.

Thanks again to Mick for lending me his spare wheel, you're a life saver mate! I owe you one!

I have no idea mate, i'm looking forward to going back and taking a look, shouldn't be too difficult to find considering the damage it caused!

WOW thats an image I thought I would see last night oin mine when there was a ramp in the road where they had stripped the surface and hit it at about 35mph max which made the car jump out of gear and the cup holder pop out of the dash but the wheels look fine as do the tyres. Hope its sorted soon for you.

Hopefully you haven't done any damage yourself ewl, that sounds like quite an impact. I still haven't been up to see the pothole, but when i get some photos i'll post them on here too.

Just keep off the lane that heads upto Nelson mountain coming from Nelson (Not Senghenydd way) incase this happens to you guys!
