Anybody going to the Swansea Bay Rally on Jul 18th 2008 and if so, do you know any good spectator point apart from Walters Arena?

Thanks Ian. No info on the website yet. Have spoken to the organisers but info very sketchy. For thos doing the event, the info is in their packs. Would appreciate any info you could give.

Any news on the stages being used yet Ian? Same as usual or anything new worth looking at?

Usually hang around the outskirts of Walters for the first run through (Sweeping downhill left just after the arena) then up towards the windfarm in the afternoon, but fancy change this year...

Any hints or tips??

Good to see Elfyn Evans back out after the incident with a speccie a few weeks back! Cant be easy after something like that!! Fair play to the lad!

I fancy a day out around all the stages tomorow, start off at Walters and move around for the rest of the day I think... Looking forward to having a good nose around Margam too!!

I didnt know they were using margam, it didnt show on the website.

where can i get access to that stage

From the start at Bryn uphill walk / long walk from Maesteg golf club/from the west side via Hafod Grange farm

Not a bad day out in the trees again.... shame about the bloody delays!! I heard something about some protestors moaning about a new wind farm that might have caused some of it!

Looks like you were having some fun as usual Ian, got a nice "you've been framed" video moment of you on J9 of ss1 this morning. Just a 'little' wide on the exit! I'll get it over to you later!

Yup, ran out of things to throw at my mate waiting for the buggers!! Worth the wait though, those BMW's are a bunch of nutters!!

Had a good day up in walters apart from the tw@t in the Lexus IS200 who showered my car with stones on the way out of the car park. Some people got no respect

I got afew pics and acouple of vids though the vids will have to wait acouple of days.

sorry ian i didnt get any of you green mobile as i arrived late to the arena and only caught aglimpse of you on the way out of walters

Ah is that where I fell off the road , woke me up I can tell you I listened to the notes a bit harder after that very lucky to have a flat'ish piece of land there to turn it round and throw ourselves back onto the road !

I got it wrong big time on the next stage in Rhondda , but wern't so lucky , I snapped the front bottom arm and dropped about 6 minutes after dropping into a ditch , managed to get out of the stage and it fixed on the side of the road as I had the parts in my chase car , just made it up to the next stage Resolven only to find it cancelled after another car went the wrong way up a live stage , they should have just excluded him and carried on , but they cancelled it and we lost 16 miles of our total which really p1ssed us off

Had a fairly clean run through Margam , its my first tme through there as I broke my 206 a few miles in last year , that jump feels like your in the air forever , we should change our names to Bo & Luke Duke its a good run upto it and your thinking shall I or shaln't I , I chickened out just before and backed off slightly before giving it beans over it so dropped back 10 mph or so , next time it will be flat out now I now what to expect and know how my car fly's

If you got a video of J9 , put up so we can all have a laugh
