This is what i have on my new "Working Time Regulations" sheet as of 11/04/07:
Double manning daily rest concession.
"Within 30 hours of the end of a daily/weekly rest period, when a vehicle is multi-manned, each driver must have at least 9 hours rest."
So i'd take that to mean your 9 hours has to be taken by then end of the 30 hour period.
IE you can't do 30 hours then book your 9 hours rest it has to have been booked within that duration. So your max "on-duty" time is 21 hours.
Defo worth checking with your Transport Manager though, to be sure.
