Hi all i cant believe the difference steve simpson has made to the car
Steve is a top bloke with a lot of patience as things did not get off to a good start, the settings motec put into the ecu were nowhere near what they should have been to start with, and the idle was a nightmare for steve to adjust.
Second problem was smoke coming from the engine bay when the car was ticking over,so ian (godspeed) put the car up on the ramps and noticed there was oil leaking from one of the turbo pipes, i had fitted a bigger turbo and one of the washers i used must of had a some grit on it and did not seal properly.so a big THANKYOU to ian for burning hell out of his hands and fixing the leak.
After that it all went smoothly and i have not stop grinning
See you all soon
Mark.

Mark
It's 10pm and you left my unit just after 6 , did you take the long route home , I know you said you were going to fill it up but you didn't have to use all the fuel tonight

Big thanks to Steve from me , I had a couple of issue's with my car that also needed sorting before he could map it , I have a temp sensor fitted on the bottom of my intercooler , it wasn't conected up , when we found the wire , and fitted it on the sensor , he found the sensor was faulty , so spent an hour driving around the local motorfactors looking for one , managed to get one , but had to drill and tap out the intercooler as the only one I could fiind was larger , once that was fitted it was all systems go , the car is now totally transformed , it holding good boost right up to 5800 rpm now , as my car runs a restrictor I'm very happy with it.
Cant wait for the Swansea bay rally on saturday now.

Marks car was next , along with even more problems , Motec made a bit of a hash with unlocking his ECU and had Steve scratching his head quite a bit , and then it started leaking oil , I was going to move heaven and earth to fix it as I wanted to share the bill with mark

So I'm full of 1st degree burns and scratches , but we both ended up very happy.

Cheers Ian

Hello simon no estimated figures, hopefully better mpg i will have to wait and see,the turbo is slower spooling up than the old one but when it comes in it pulls and keeps on pulling.
Steve kept the boost to 1.3 to keep it safe as the engines getting on in life.

Hi dan when the ecu came back to me all the original settings were gone, and the base map they put in was not up to much to put it politely.

Ian ive been in for a while now, when i got home from your place i had to wash the car as it was rotten from the factory by you,i then took the mrs out to show her the difference,i knew things were good when she held on for dear life and told me to slow down as she normaly loves it.

Ian thanks again for sorting out the problem,i have never seen such panic on a mans face to get something out quickly, not to have to pay all the bill

Pleased your all sorted, life would be boring if everything ran smoothly

Dont bother checking your mpg for a little while or at least until you have had some fun with the extra horses

Enjoy
