Question Hawkeye STI Foglamp Covers

Hi, does anybody know how I would fit the foglamp covers of an STi onto my WRX? Do they just clip in or is it more complicated than that?

I wouldnt mind knowing the answer to that one myself since i am after a set, not that i have spent much time looking as yet. I think the whole light unit needs to be removed, but i may be wrong. Have you got a set yet, and if so where were they from and how much, if you dont mind me asking?

I put a thread in the wanted forum and it looks like I have bought a set in wr blue for £60 inc delivery but the seller has not yet contacted me for payment. They seem to be rarer than rocking horse poo at the moment.

If I find any guides I will post them on this thread.

Don't suppose anybody has any experience of this as having looked at the front bumper and the foglamp covers I cannot see how they fit other than having to remove the foglamps and leave them off.

Fog lamp covers just clip into the bumper, it's as simple as that. Why would it be more complicated? It's only cover after all.

And yes they will fit with the fog lamps still in place - hence the name 'Fog Lamp Cover'.

They can be fitted in seconds.

Or are you talking about fog lamp surrounds?? If so, then I think the lamps will have to be removed.

Newage Bugs and Blobs have seperate covers that actually cover the lights. But as I understand it the Hawkeye fogs are integrated into the bumper and surround thats fitted.

Unless of course your Hawkeye came without fogs and you retro fitted them. In that case you'll just need the trims. Below are the OE Part no's and prices from Subaru for the Foglifght kit and the seperate trims.

Fog Lamp Trim Kit to Be Used With Fog Lamp Kit See Below For Colours
H4518FE100MJ Fog Lamp Trim Kit C/Grey
H4518FE100PG Fog Lamp Trim Kit WR Blue
H4518FE100TG Fog Lamp Trim Kit Silver
H4518FE100VW Fog Lamp Trim Kit Black
H4518FE100WG Fog Lamp Trim Kit White

Part No. H4518FE100
£ 45.00 (inc. 17.5% VAT, exc. Fitting - unless otherwise stated above)

Front Fog Lamp Kit
Fog Lamp Requires fog lamp trim kit see below for Part Numbers

H4518FE100TG Fog Lamp Trim Kit Silver
H4518FE100VW Fog Lamp Trim Kit Black

Please find below photographs taken earlier today on my way back down from the beacons, apologies if the quality is not great as they were taken on my Iphone and between rain showers

Let me know what you think, the wheels are definitely going to be changed shortly
