Question Handling advice

Im on a tight budget and want to improve the handling of the scoob so coilovers are out. I have seen various parts in the for sale section so i was going to pick some bits up, such as antiroll bars something like that, but i have a problem. Any parts i get i will be fitting myself and as i am on a budget i only want to buy parts that will make a noticable improvement to the handling so i need advice on what is easy to fit and will make a difference when i get back in and push through a corner.
I have already got Eibach springs and had fast road geometry but nothing else as yet.

Thanks in advance for the advice
Ian

On a budget go for steel front and rear uprated drop links as they are cheaper than alloy even new these are not to expensive then fit an uprated rear anti roll bar, I would not worry about the front one and pick up a front strut brace if you don't have one fitted already.

This will make a noticable difference to the handling and worth doing before anything else in the future IMHO.

Front & rear anti roll bars combined with anti lift kit will help a lot, all easily fitted yourself

Most people go for Adj 22mm Rear bar and keep the standard front along with Solid droplinks front and rear and maybe an ALK and fast road alignment.

The other option as bonzee said is 24 Rear and 22mm front

Loads of people ditch their STi shocks. Get some. Swap your Eibachs onto them, then get the ARB's, Drop Links and geometry. Combine it with some decent brake pads and it will transform the car.

Just my own experience.

Thanks for the advice so far gents, its given me a lot to think about.

Ian, would swapping the shocks be a big job? Im limited on space so i wouldnt be able to get around the sides of the car very easily once its jacked up in the garage and my drive is too steap to jack the car up on, so i probably would have trouble with it.

Did mine on my drive. Make sure you get the correct top mounts and it's a piece of wee wee. Got some spring compressors and fecking big bar for the strut to stub axle nuts!

Have recently done the rear ARB's and solid links too.

Your Geometry will be shot so take you time. If you need a hand gis a shout.

Ian

I've got a set of 05 STi dampers that have only done 10 000 miles. You will need to confirm whether they will fit your 06 WRX. If they will and you are interested, make me an offer.

Where you based?

I'll second the Whiteline 22mm rear anti-roll bar, made a mahooosive difference to my car. Got rid of all that nasty understeer. Left the standard one on the front.
