Default Wheels up for sale

Looking to get a new car, Tried to buy a high power Type R but it looks like i'm going to miss out on that one by a couple of days to someone else, so either a Spec C or Evo 8 MRFQ 340 it will be.

Due to the resale value the old girl is going to be stripped, caged and turned into a track car
So I have the following up for sale, would prefer it goes to the local lads to start off with as I can't be arsed with arranging couriers ETC.

These may be of interest to TurboDean.

My 17" Work Emotion CR kai Wheels are up for Sale, I paid £600 only last month and then Just under £400 for new Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres, these have covered under 300 miles.

Wheels are in very good cindition and only have a couple of very minor curb marks that you have to get very very very close to see/feel, Kwikfit chipped alittle paint off the inside of the centeral whole when they balance them but you can hardly see this.

Looking for £800

Maybe of interst to MP24,

I also got a set of Front STI 6 WRC V Ltd Spec blue seats.

Very Comfy and much more suportive than the standard Uk spec seats.
The drivers seats for some reason doesn't come all the way upright and is about one notch reclined. Still a very comfy driving position
Looking for £200
No Pictures at present but i'll try and get some up,

Also a set of Standard My99 UK Seats plus door cards, Need a clean but no tears, £80 the lot to get rid off.

All of the above needs to be collected or picked up from a meet.

Very nice Dan, i may be interested if u still have them in about 2 months, but unfortunatly can't even consider spending that sort of money on the car at the moment with the way thing are looking on the job front.

Just looking at seats at the moment, So many to pick from.

I'll pop up the local fabricators (Only about 1 mile from here) for the cage. They do alot of cages for the local rally guys and run a Group N scoob, ~I've seen there work and it's pretty good. Need to find a new roof as mine is shot and it will be easier to weld in the cage with the roof anyway.

You never know, But i've been looking at a few options today,

Spec C and mod a little with the left over cash,
Evo 8 MR FQ340 and leave for a bit as no money left over
Type R V5 for around £5.500 and chuck £8K into the engine/turbo/gearbox etc

or go for something outside the box ie something german or even american!!!!

For what its worth IMO better to find a car that someone else has spent all the money on, good spec modded cars are out there just got to find them.

Spec C's are fine cars out of the box, only a few tweeks reqd and they are fully sorted. Go shopping in it or a blast over the Beacons they tick all the box's.

I'm sure Simon will be searching the Adds for you

This would have my money..

https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...clean-car.html

But I do appreciate the milage Danny does so maybe a new age spec c would be a safer choice ?

I had a look at the ad yesturday, A very clean car and an ideal track car but It would cost me too much to face lift the front end and change to dash/clocks as i don't like either.

keep looking though Si,

A highly modded late(5 or 6) Type R or RA or a spec C.

Not interested in the normal newage STI Uk or JDM though, it would have to be blobeye Spec C, White or Blue

Why not a normal FQ model evo ? most MR parts would have been changed anyhow and with the market falling its the buyers ball game.

Because i've seen a standard MR FQ340 in the gun metal for £13.400, so more than likely going to get it for £12.800.

Plenty of lower spec models in the wrong colour for cheaper but if it's going to be an Evo it has to be in the gun metal

I know the modding game very well and understand a little cash will = 400BHP

Really like EVO 8 MR's in Gun Metal, i think if i were in your position i'd probably have the EVO as road car and turn the scoob into a track car.

From Memory the MR's have got better Cams and a bigger exhuast housing on the turbo and Blistein suspension and a few other bits to make them slightly lighter, basically only need an AVCR and a ECUTEK re-map to get very close to 400bhp.

True but 90% of the time one or the other has been changed, mainly the shocks for coilovers, like Kev said let some one else spend the money.... wish i did currently on a revamp with mine.

Gd luck with finding something.

The Evo 8 MR also has an aluminum roof panel which further reduces weight over a GSR. The blistein standard suspension is excellent and makes for a better daily driver over coilovers.

The FQ Evo 9 comes with the aluminum roof as standard and has the added advantage of the mivec engine fitted so it is more responsive, as the turbo spools up earlier due to variable valve timing on the inlet valves.

Here is an Evo 9 for sale with some money spent.

Evo's as I understand have the fuel tank the same size as the bladder of a pregnant woman. Don't think you want to fill up just to attend a meeting Dan?
