That switch, I had one on my classic. isn't that for the alarm? it sets it so you have to do a sequence of pushing it before the electrics turn on in ur car the next time you get back in it. bloody good device as when set, a thief couldnt even get the electrics to turn on. bad if you forget it is on, or you get the sequence wrong or forget it, lol as I would know it happend to me!

That may be it anyway. Not sure if it would have that in yours, I know I dont have one in my bugeye

nah m8 nothing to do with that,its an after market switch.dosent appear to do anything....its the same switch i have in my jap import ford freda,for the fog light switch with a little amber light so you know its on.... and no its not for the fog lights,as its a uk car......

Bugger me if I know then...you tried other scooby sites? Presuming the previous owner still drives scoobies, if not then no joy on an impreza forum I guess. Is the name not in the papers?

yeah m8,thats the next step to write to him and ask him,was up your way a few months ago at a wedding in a big posh hotel,cant remember the name of it though,nice part of the country you live in m8

Why not just take the centre console apart and try and trace the wiring and see what it goes too ?
