Use windows xp instead.

I had vista on my laptop but i had to change all my internet settings and it wasnt very responsive, so i went back to xp

Hi, I have found out that vista error code 8007045D has to do with rights permissions associated with your user settings, have a look at the following link to see if this makes any sense to you

Windows Vista Forums > [Resolved]File Backup Error 0X8007045D - Cannot backup files

Hope this is of help

I have always found vista to be better than XP but that is just me

Vista is very memory hungry so dependant on pc/laptop spec. XP will run better.

I'm actually growing to like Vista. It's memory use that people go on about is pretty much entirely disk cache (improves performance) which gets thrown away as soon as an application actually needs that memory for something else, plus the whole DWM/Aero thing actually makes sense once you read about what they're actually doing and why (note that Macs and Linux have been doing the same thing for years)
