Default New one for the tech heads

been having a little trouble with a slight miss fire!!well i thought it was
it happens inbetween 2500rpm and 2780rpm it's very very slight and only when in 3rd gear tottering along.
There is nothing below or above these revs
Ive changed the plugs and MAF but still nothing
i spoke to a couple of guys who mentioned to a point that there might be a score on the 3rd piston

A lot of peeps said i was over reacting an that they couldnt feel anything when this happens which was spinning me out big time.

Managed to speak to the original mapper who was sunning himself in a far off land (lucky sod)

V HUB thats your problem

it's something to do with dense air

i always thought that the colder the air going in the better for the car
obviously not
Cheers BOB

Hate to sound like a profit of doom Richie, but my slight missfire turned out to be the piston ring lands cracked off. However the car was black smoking too. Any other symtoms?

Sounds like ignition problem have you checked your HT leads, coil pack and plug gaps etc?, as your new plugs maybe producing a weaker spark. Otherwise use some octane booster and check if it's still missing as like already mentioned could be suffering from a bad burn due to dodgy petrol.
