Default OZ Alloy Wheels

Just bought a set of 4 x 18" OZ Superleggera alloy wheels in gold from Ebay for £355.00 which I think is a pretty good price as I have been looking around for a while, but now the question is what tyres and profile should i fit?

Can't wait to get them on the car as the look like mutts nutts

Cheers mate. She looks even better now that i've replaced those horrible lexus style rear lights with a set of standard ones.
We'll have to sort out a Llanelli mini meet down the beach soon. Quite a few turks on here now

I love the superleggera wheels, bargain at £355. Tyres depends on your budget, i picked up 4 Falken FK452's for £265 with a bit of haggling from Blackcircles. Its my second set and they are a good all round tyre that last well with good grip. A great budget choice, i will buy them again.

Hi, been thinking about Falkens or Vredenstein and just found out my brothers mate has a tyre service in his garage so I can get the tyres for cost and no charge for fitting either but should i go for a 30, 35 or 40 profile in order to keep the rolling circumferance the same and would it effect the speedo?

No problem have a look at the thread on the Swansea meet, the only trouble with North Dock is you get all the idiots in their corsas, clios and the like looking to race you with their 1.2 litre engines did all that quite some time ago

Probably going for Falken FK452's after evil.soup's and others recommendtions read in the other forums, thinking or 35 or 40 profile tyres, will either of these profiles effect the speedo?

I went with 225/40/18 tyres which seem to do the job well without any issues. As my car is lowered (only 25-30mm) and has a splitter anything less than 40 would see the car catching more speed humps than it already does and it wouldnt go over the kirb onto my drive. You will most likely end up lowering yours after putting the 18's on, as the car will sit too high and look wrong, also you will lose quite a bit of the cars handling ability due to extra roll. What im saying is, planning ahead you will probably be better off with 40's.

Hi, where did you get your car lowered and if you don't mind how answering much did it cost? Have been thinking about having lowering springs fitted - the consensus seems to be either Prodrive or Eibach, strange thing is Eibach make them for Prodrive, but the Prodrive springs seem to be rated higher

I dont want my car to end up looking like a bloody tractor it sits so high off the floor

I changed from 19" OZ supraleggra wheels with 235 35 toyo tyres to 18" OZ ultraleggra wheels with 225 40 toyo tyres on, the ride is much better with the new size wheels and tyres and a lot cheaper for any tyres I buy in the future. The only thing I am amazed at is the price you bought the 18" ultraleggra wheels for it cost me £1400 for my gold ultraleggra wheels with tyres from roadrunner.

I cant remember exactly how much it cost but i think it was about £375 in total but i had them fit a splitter i supplied and alter the geometry to fast road settings, which is worth doing by the way. I went to Powerstation, which is quite expensive and to be honest i wouldnt go there again as they damaged 2 of my brand new alloys during the process when removing the nuts!! Its not something you expect from a company that is supposed to understand the passion its customers have for their cars

Give Indigo GT a call and see what they can do for you, they seem to have a good reputation and i will be putting any future work i have their way.

I went with Eibach's by the way, no real difference to the Prodrive ones except a little cheaper from what i recall

Hey guys.....are my wheels Superleggeras?
They are 18" black with OZ and Prodrive written on them.

Just got Flaken fk452s fitted, balanced and tracked for £330 at Selectatyre

Heard alot of good stuff about these tyres....had Nexen6000x2 and Achilles ATR Sportsx2 from previous owner. Only got the Falkens on Tuesday night, done 80 miles so far...noticed difference already...gotta bed in properly yet....can't wait to start opening up on them.

The tyres are 225/40/18.

I showed Selectatyre the Camskills price and they matched it and threw in the balancing and fitting for £10per corner.....

.....I was the only customer in there....they said I was the 3rd all day and I was there at 4pm...they will try and match any price.

Well the wheels arrived today and I will be getting a new set of Falken FK452 225 40 18 Y rated tyres fitted at the weekend for £276.00 fully inclusive through a contact in the trade.

Once these are on I will then add some photographs to my profile at last

My brother took my car today to have the tyres and wheels fitted and was told that the standard wheel bolts are no good for the superleggeras and I will need to change them.

I did not know this was the case and would like to know if anybody else has come across this?

If I do need to buy replacment wheel nuts where can I get them from locally around the Cardiff / Swansea areas and if not where on the web?

I think the issue is the recess for the nuts is deeper on the OZ wheels and the standard nuts are quite short and have a deeper shoulder so don't grip the threads as well.

The left hand nut as a longer nose and will recess better than the standard nut on the right. I got a new set with the Inovit's I have 9 spare if anyone needs them?

Thumbs up

Thanks guys for the heads up on the wheel nuts, I will try and get hold of a set including locking nuts as I do not fancy finding my car on a set of bricks when I get home from work.

If anyone does have a set including locking nuts I would me more than happy to buy them.
