Steady on! Roads i mean. I'm staying down on 7th/8th Feb, so it would be rude not to go for a drive and find these superb local roads. (And test out the new ASTs )
Anyone in the south area fancy going for a drive?

I can slow down if need be. To be fair, i don't mind going at the back. Let someone else who knows the roads, lead.

You should try the a40 between Sennybridge and Llandovery, mind you watch out for the police helicopter down the long straight past the abandoned motel ( where you can turn off towards Epynt ) then on to some cracking high speed cornering.

There is a great section on this road through the forestry which has some great downhill corners and then brings you down to Llandovery where you can pick up the a40 and go back up towards Sennybridge.
It would be a real good drive through some of the best a roads in Wales and take a good part of the day including the Elan Valley but I would be up for it as I have yet to take the Impreza on some of those roads, anybody else interested in taking part in the spring?

I'll check out those routes too. I'm up for any kind of a drive. (as long as i know there's a shell not too far away)
Got any online links for these routes? Just so i know where we're talking about. The names all ring bells, having been a rally nerd for many years.

My favorite roads are around here - Elan Valley
We are planning a get together with some of the ScoobyCity lot in late March and a drive out around Elan Valley, Devil's Bridge and Aber... Should be a good few days...

Whereabouts down south you going to be based?
A few good roads around the Vale but best roads are when you head up the middle. The A470 up to Brecon is a good one and then staying on there passing Elan Valley and onto the A44 that goes towards Aber is amazing. Only done this once yet i go to Aber around once a month really should do it more.

I'm down in Newport.
Think i'll finally give in and get a TomTom. There's a download for stations and when i've been blasting for 1/2 hour and i've no idea where i am. The TT should come good.
I'll check out that Ellen valley.

I've got a Garmin, I got the girlfriend one for Christmas, and they are excellent. Got all the petrol stations, restaurants, cinemas etc etc. Basically everything you will ever need.
Get one!
(I do not work for Garmin )
