I remember my first car was an Escort Mk2 1600 sport it was falling to pieces and cost me a fortune to put right and insure.

Get your own insurance if you can or consider going on your parents insurance policy if it will allow you to start building your own no claims bonuses.

Good luck looking for your first car.

Here you go Ryan, not for now but stick it in a garage and throw a sheet over it until that NCB is built up.
R/As in this condition are becoming hard to find and will start going up in value, i'd love to have it and fill the space I have in the garage next to the "R"

Bite the bullet, Get a cheap throw away car for a year, Ie: 1 litre saxo, build up your no claims and then get something a little better the following year
