I'm back, apologies for our recent elusiveness from the page...Anway just writing this to vent off some steam! My car (Not the Scooby, its fine) the Corsa GSI was parked up in Swansea for 4 hours...when i returned it had been vandalised and all audio and some interior was stripped...Just feeling a bit P****d off. Anyway hope you are all ok and the cars are just as well.
Chris.

Sorry to hear that Chris...... I wont even park the scoob in Swansea....its never even crossed my mind to try it.

Its a sad world that we live in where you can't park your pride and joy wherever you want to due to jealous thieving low life

...and I'm guessing all that audio gear isn't covered by insurance either m8????

Scum....

David

Thanks all for your thoughts, hope you all ok...still meeting regularly, if so, where to? My father is about to sell the scoob and there is doubt in his mind in buying another as the looks have failed to grow on him, i've even tried to convince him to buy a LEGACY GTB Twin Turbo (import) but he's pondering to buy a FOCUS Cossie when it arrives or a bloody Astra Turbo, yes Astra....GASP! What to do??? Can somebody please help? DAVE???

Anyway back to my misfortune, the corsa is sold (yesterday) to somebody who was interested in the past and i'm currently looking for something else in the region of £4K. The audio was insured, but to claim would only crush my no claims...Anyway thanks once again for your thoughts,
and i hope to see you all soon.
Chris.

Sorry to hear of your agro.
I was in college in Swansea for a few years, during that time.....

My car got broken into 3 times (mk2 Cavalier) outside Mount Unpleasant college and the Marina.

Mums car got broken into twice and nicked once (mk2 Astra) Station car park (next to Plod Station at the time!)

Flat mate's (mk2 Astra) broken into twice and nicked once. Again from the Marina, ended up in Townhill with some 10 (ish) year old ******* trying to set light to it when plod found it.... Plod reckoned some older kids nicked it 'cause it was raining drove it home, then gave it to the younger ones to torch. It was found less than an hour after we realised it had gone. i.e. Plod knew exactly where to look first.

They seem to be attracted to Vauxhalls

If we ever have to leave a car overnight on the street in Swansea now it's on Walters road. Never been touched there so far, touch wood, cross fingers, pray...

Sorry to hear about that chris, it's a shame when you have to pick and choose the places int a town/city you park. Now we have to pick and choose the Towns/Cities we park in. Trouble is hardly any type of security system will stop an opportunist. if he can't get what he wants he trashes it.

Hope everything get's sorted out ok.
