Brake caliper refurb - What paint?
Picked up my replacement front caliper last night, but it could do with a good tidy up before fitting. After i've attacked it with the wire brush later i'm gonna have to paint it gold to match the others. Any suggestions on what paint to use? Should i use heat resistant? etc. Need to be able to get the paint locally (e.g. halfords) because it has to be ready to go on Saturday morning.

Phil when I did mine I used Foliatec - Brake Caliper Painting Kit from Halfords it is a 2 pack paint, get a couple of modelling brushes and mix small usable amounts up, I measured it by the brush load, eg 3 paint to 1 with the bonding agent ... I believe they do thier own brand product as well.

My 2p.
I gave them a good scrub with some Nitromors, be careful with the seals. Then I used Hammerite Red Oxide Primer, then Hammerite Smooth Red Rollable.
For the lettering I again, used the White Hammerite Smooth Rollable with a small gloss roller.
I then got the high temperature stickers for the rear two pots from eBay.
