Default Pre Trip Prep.

Off to Germany in two weeks, sadly on the p**s again .

Taking the Scoob so I'll be going via France, Belgium etc.

I have the usual stuff, First Aid Kit, Warning Triangle, Spare Bulbs, H-Vis vests, Beam benders, Fuel can, GB Stckers (spit!) and tow rope.

I have an OE Filter and washer.

I am thinking of doing a quick oil change before hand, so what's your current favorite tipple them?

Silkolean Pro R 15-50 or Mutol V300 15-50 is what I've always used and what I've been recommended for the type R

How much do I need? I want a bit of spare to take.

What's the going rate?

I'll be shopping around after.

While I am thinking about it. Is it wise to get an engine flush for the old oil first?

I may be opening a can of worms here.

Ive always used Castrol Edge Sport 10/60, and was told you should never use engine flush on a subaru engine

I get my Silkolean from west wales Lubricants in carmarthen, Works out slightly cheaper than opie due to saving on carriage. Think I paid £43ish for 5 litres last time

As dean said, Engine flush is a no no

Got the OE Subaru Oil Filter. It took less than 24hrs from order to delivery .

Taking "BOY" and mp24 to Costco to see what oil they have.
