Saw this at a salvage yard last week, the guys working there said they escaped with non life threatening injuries, head on impact,
glad i put a cage in mine last year, makes me feel a little safer.

Cages aren't necessarily safer on the road though mate. I'm putting a cage in my track day car soon (Honda CRX) and my head will be very close to the metal while driving to/from the track. Yes there will be foam on it but I've been warned on other forums about cages in road cars - just more opportunity for the head to hit some hard metal.
