I've toyed with the idea. I'd like to try one on the car especially a RCM carbon version.
I've had a look a Lee's and must say its spot on if its a painted one your after.
Thanks Ian, another option to mull over

the water just evaporates when the engine is at normal temp but just for extra protection i spray wd40 or silicon on the engine, b ut then again i don't use it that much to see any weather sun rain or any other as it's just sat in garage
plus when driving if it rains it just blows over the slats at speed

Its actually a good question, from what I've seen of them there is not a lot at the back of the engine that a little water is going to hurt too much and as Lee said when driving its not an issue.

I'm with you Taylor, the scoop is kinda part of the sprit of the car.
I'd still like to try one though.

It's just that my car sits on the drive so rain has more chance of dripping through I guess
I'd like the RCM carbon one

Bob Rawle's 'old' car then, you lucky sod that is probably one of the most sorted road going Imprezas in the UK.
And if I am not wrong that is his sorted 911 GT2 (capable of 203mph).
